buckbuster11
I hope the Steelers bring him back, that would probably lock up another Super Bowl or 5.
Heavy Metal
Bummer. You had it nailed from the beginning. From a football standpoint...this is not good. But...I can't say I disagree with it. It just sucks. Our offense, particularly our passing game was positively one dimensional without him in the playoffs. We were VERY predictable. I don't care if the guy has been fighting cocks at this point, they better have a WR lined up that is a threat on every play before cutting the best WR in the league (IMO) or we won't compete. I'm just sick over the whole thing. He was my favorite player. Guess I'm mad at him now that I think about it, huh?
Bowtech_archer07
I agree with Heavy_Metal. From a football standpoint, not a good move. From a business and what's best for the team.. good move. He was becoming a distraction, he is going to do some jail time, whether he agrees to a plea deal or he goes to court. If he gets a plea for 30-120 days in jail and a fine, he should take it, because if he goes to court and loses, he's gonna be facing a lot more time than that. Like I said, he will serve some time, so I can't disagree with the Giants cutting him.... Sad thing for sure..
Muff
even if he gets out of jail time the NFL will do something also....I say at least 5-8 games....maybe more....wish him the best he made my year when he caught the game winner for the super bowl. unioncountyslayer
Actually, I think it's a smart move on the Giants part. With his hearing getting pushed back to June, it's uncertain whether he'll be able to play at all this season. That's too much time to have to wait on "Maybe". Now the Giants can move forward and try to find someone to replace him. If he gets jail time, and NY was to wait, they'd be up the creek. Just my two cents. With all the suspensions (around the league) in the past two years...He'll be lucky to play period this season.
muggs
Dude shot himself in the leg...with that type of structural damage who knows how good he'll ever be. Plus, the guy's a moron. Johnboy, surprised to see you'd want him back. This is the kind of guy the Stillers let go for good reason.
VABuckSlayer
After all the F-bombs he dropped on that cop when he got pulled over.... no wonder the Giants let him go. He is an IDIOT!!! He's going to ruin his life!!! I hope nobody picks him up so he's an example to other young players that this type of behavior will not be accepted!!!! Pacman, Vick, Johnson and on and on....They don't care and they DON'T learn from anybody else. Heck, Pacman doesn't learn from himself>
