92xj
Well today i witnessed the worst thing i have ever seen. There was a lady pulling out of our neighborhood making a left hand turn onto the 4 lane highway divided my a median. As she was pulling out in her car two kids came over the hill from the left racing, there was no time for her to do anything and BOOM!!! One of the racers T-boned her which caused her car to flip up over the racer's car, coming down on the road 50 yards down landing on the passenger side. In the back seat was her 4 year old daughter who was ejected from the car while it was flipping, then landed underneath the car but was still alive and was life flighted to Charlotte Medical center while mother was killed instantly. The kid that hit her was in critical condition and taken to the hospital via ambulance while the second kid racing fled the sceene and never stopped..........sorry this is somewhat of a graphic description, but i feel that the more these people read that are willing to risk the life of themselves as well as other racings, can bear to read the consiquences of their actions........anyhow, yall go hug your family right now please.... 92xj
Found out today on the news, that the driver of the car that was racing that hit the lady had two kids in there with him. He is 20 years old and had a 11 year old kid and his friend that was 13, the 13 year old passed away today. He is charged with 3 counts of second degree murder, which i am not too sure what that means, but hopefully he will get everything that he deserves. They also found the car that was racing him and drove off. The driver was a teenage girl and she had two girlfriends with her. When the crash happened witnesses said she stopped, got out, went to check on the boy that she was racing, saw him and ran back to her car and left. They found the car today, but did not find the driver.....

wtnhunt
That is very sad. Prayers for the family on the way. Just went back and saw where the child died. I see high school kids driving at excessive speeds just about every morning taking my girls to school, and have had concerns, afraid someone is going to end up getting killed. There was a pretty bad wreck with kids involved back late last year, one car involved had a kid from the middle school who my oldest daughter knows. For a little while the state troopers and county sheriff's dept patrolled the roads, but it is pretty well back to the same again and I rarely see the speed traps that they had to slow the speeders down and the kids in the same cars are back to driving way too fast. Shame that the law enforcement folks cannot dedicate more time to the stretch of roads they know these kids run.
