jesse8953
I got this one and has a good pattern at 45 yards out of the box. http://www.gunweek.com/2005/feature0520.html My step son has one like this. http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=126605961 Only difference is there is no fiberoptic sight and different camo and the $ I got my stepson's form this guy on gunbroker. Good guy to deal with! These guns kick less than my mossberg 835 did:D You should go to a shop and see what feels right to you. I was raised on remington guns so that feels right to me. Make sure you like where the safty is. Also where the eject button is located. Remington also makes the 870 max gobbler. http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model_870/model_870_SPS_Max_Gobbler.asp My brother is a fan of Benelli shotguns. They are nice too. Good luck and post pictures of what you get:)
jesse8953
Remington has a spring rebate offer on turkey shotguns:D
jesse8953
I forgot the front forearms are a little different, the express is round, and the sp is flat

bbass300
i really like the mossberg 835 thumbhole turkey series. what kind of range are these guns capable of with the short 20 inch barrels?
jesse8953
Probably depends on shells and choke you have.

Shaun_300
I'd be looking at a semi for turkey hunting, shot my cousins new 870 with the big hole in the stock, 3 1/2" turkey load and holy smokes does that thing ever kick! I'd go with a Remington 1187 if it were me.
HUNTINGMAN
I am not a big fan of the thumb hole stock with the 3.5" turkey shells because of the recoil and the webbing between your thumb and finger getting the exxtra pressure. The steady grip stock on the Benelli shotguns seam to be alot easier on your hands and are easier to hold for long periods of time.I love my Benelli super nova just wish it had fiber optic rifle sights from the factory.
