HuntnMa
I have been out thats why I'm not here posting, lol....I got the one opening morning and I'm praying I get his brother this coming friday, then I'm heading to Virginia for some more turkey hunting....maybe Maryland for a day hunt, don't know for sure or not yet. I came so close the other day to finishing up but I had a hens head inline with my gobbler then he stopped with his head behind a tree and I won't do a body shot, then i hauled butt to get around them and lost them,lol...the day prior I passed up a jake that hung out with me and 2 hens for about 3 hours, that was cool....I've been hunting my butt off as usual, loving every minute of it and I have seen more than most but the gobbling is just not happening like it should be, so it's been tough. Turkeygirl
I've got to start scouting hard...in fact if it isn't raining tonight on my way back from clinical...I can take a back road and literally drive past the state land I hunted last spring, might take my owl call and see f I can roost something... cinch314
I went out Friday but I think the wind and the cold morning had them tight lipped. I didnt see anything but deer, hogs, coons and cattle.

luvtohnt
I'll be there this friday, opening day here. Of course, not as early as I'd like to be but a 7 month old does that to you. lol. And hopefully saturday I can get my 12 year old one. Her first real hunting was this past weekend. She got to see some and her step dad called some in but no luck so far. Sounds like you are off to a good season.
mrswtnhunt
I've been out several times and had 'em gobbling but none close enough for a shot. Got to go yesterday on my birthday but didn't have any luck. We have had alot of rain here lately so I hadn't go to go as much as I wanted to. Congrats HuntnMa. Good luck to everybody this season. Parkergirl
:DI got my first gobbler 2 weeks ago....ccwhitey called it in for me at my family farm in Kampsville Il. It weighed 25 lbs. had 1.5 and 1.3 in spurs and a 9 in beard. i was sooooo excited!!!
NiteRunner
Had some gobbling up a storm today! Two beauftiful Toms strutted within 50 yards before leaving me with all the hens. So close! They put on quite the show I must say, so it was worth not getting a shot off I guess.
