dbHunterNY
Season doesn't until May here in NY. I've got some new gear and a new Benelli. No new crops or new seeded fields this year, so far. We had a pumpkin patch that is being moved, so that might have to be covered with something. Just waiting for now. Good luck to all of you. If someone gets something this coming week be sure to let us know. - Dan

Rhino
Good to hear from you Kandi. Good luck with your opener in Iowa. Our season started the middle of March. I killed the last of my 3 mature gobbler bag limit in MS on April 7th so I'm down to just taking on the role of guide/assist turkey hunter now. Should be playing guide this week with a friend's girlfirend as the shooter while my friend is behind the video camera. Got another rookie to guide next weekend. Other than that is fishing and golf time.

ildrhntr
We too are preparing to go to the field(if it ever stops raining) and this is the first year I didn't even apply for a tag. I figured out over the last 9 years after only taking one bird I was not meant to be a turkey hunter....
wtnhunt
Hi Kandi, great to see you drop in again. Working some on food plot prep here as well. Our oldest daughter's 4-h food plot will be planted as soon as we get our seed in, and have another spring/summer planting that will be corn and beans this year. Our turkey season is open here now. Wife had a nice bird at 35 yards and she misjudged it thinking it was about 50, so she did not shoot. Have not gotten quite that close yet so far this season myself.
