hungry hunter
Got another question:rolleyes:, I shot a Gander Mountain Tech Hunter during the holidays. It felt good, and all I have done is talk about it. I don't need another bow I just want this bow. I just about got the war department to cut loose with the funding for it:cool:. Anybody shoot the Tech Hunter? and if I do get it I will be selling a Jennings Buckmaster and Bear Whitetail II, both bows are 29" draw and 70 lbs. dbHunterNY
I don't know where this came thread came from, but I shoot a 2007 Gander Mountain TechHunter Elite. I don't know if you're talking about this one or the newer TechHunter Exterminator Pro, or any of the older ones. The TechHunter Elite is the ultimate bow in my mind. Since I bought this bow and practiced more, I've doubled my accurate range (I've practiced out to 80 yards). So far I really haven't found any flaws with the bow, honestly. If you would like to know anything specific about it, feel free to ask. - Dan
Tom2008
The Techunter Elite and Exterminator Pro are just a Marquis and Black Ice with a few changes. Both great shooting bows. Both are exceptional for the money.
MichiganHunter
I believe that gander's bow's are made by diamond and I have a diamond black ice and man they are an AMAZING BOW, if it is a diamond product you cant go wrong, great price, great product, great way to go. Gander and Diamond have a great thing going and yes Diamond makes Gander's bows. Each bow is not exactly the same, but based off of certain models. TecHunter Elite is a Marquis except it comes with a String Tamer rather than the stopper that came with the Marquis. The cam is also more rounded that then Marquis cam. Personally I think the Elite shoots even better. The TecHunter Exterminator Pro is a Black Ice except its a little heavier, roller guard, and a string tamer is attached. The new Techunter Extreme 2 is a Diamond Stud, except it has a string tamer and slightly different cam. I also shot a Black Ice last year and its a tack driver. Quitest bow I've ever had and smoother than silk. The only thing changing on that bow in 2009 from 2008 is they are installing a diamond string stopper. dbHunterNY
I shot the Black Ice along side the TechHunter Elite and the Bear Truth at the time I got the Elite. There was a little bit of vibration after the shot with the Black Ice and there wasn't any with the Elite (completely undressed bows without any accessories). The Truth setup the same as the Elite didn't draw nearly as smooth.
