Thinking about Realtree on the way home

After 4 days with my parents doing the Easter thing I was glad to be on my way home. There is no place like home and your own bed.

Anyway, I'm driving through the town of Sylvan Beach (GW's hometown btw). We pass one of the more popular restaurants in town, The Spaghetti Factory, and the place is packed.

So my wife speaks up, "Who goes out for Italian food on Easter?"

I reply, "Anthony would."

"Who?" says says the wife.

"Anthony from the forums. He even does Christmas Italian style. You should read the stories"

Wife looks away and is the mubbling something, I heard the word forums in there somewhere.:D

Funny how we know so much about each other but yet many of us have never met. Thought I would share that story with you. Happy Easter everyone. :);)

Well you could have stopped by...but the Wife and I were out playing in the woods up in Mad River State Forest;)

BTW...she told me to tell you that...and I quote:

"She's done her share of mumbling aboot the forums in her time"

LOL...Yes thanks to the Forums, Buckee, and Lewis we pronounce it ABOOOOOT:D

Guess we all got a few stories like like Joe! I was talking to my wife last weekend when we went to Watertown and I had said, I wish I could have met Joe at the Texas Roadhouse for lunch today.

She said "Who's Joe"?

I told her Ranger from the forums.

She said "Why don't you call him from your cell phone"

I told her I did not have your phone number.

She then said, "Look in the phone book, or something".

I then told her that I did not know your last name either, but that I would probably find it out this Sept when we hunt together at Shaun's Uncles place.

She just smiled and said "Who's Shaun"? :D

That is funny Joe:D. Thanks for thinking of me.

I think about my Realtree buds all the time.

But yes, we did have Easter dinner out yesterday, but at my cousins home down in the city.

In Staten Italy...Oops, I meant Staten Island :p. No restaurants

We gave thanks and gorged ourselves very well;).

I know you want to hear the menu...:D

Starting off with a anti pasto( cheeses, dry sausages, olives, peppers, sun dried tomatoes, pizza grain(grain pie), pizza rustica( pie with eggs, meat cheese and peppers),Olive bread.Then..., 30 minutes later. Out came the home made Manicotti,( we are only allowed 2 each:mad:) that my Mom made and stuffed herself. She is getting old(82) and I think this is the last year for her to do it:(.

Then...15 minutes later...

Out came the intermezzo...whats that you ask?

Home made lemon ice, to clean the palate so the next course can be appreciated for the full taste that it will deliver.

That next course is a full roasted ham on the bone, cooked with ginger ale and pineapple juice. With all the trimmings, broccoli, candied yams, cauliflower, carrots, arugula salad, string bean salad, breaded asparugus and stuffed mushrooms.

Oh I cannot even mention the amount of cakes, pastries and cookies that were brought out for dessert.

After all that, it is time to find a spot to sit down on the couch, undo the belt, let out a BIG sigh...suck the teeth a bit and go into Al Bundy mode( hand in the waist of the pants and head back on the couch).

Then the ride home... with all the boys letting out some really NOXIOUS smells while we were all stuck in the van driving:eek::rolleyes::p.

My wife offered to ride on the roof back home:D

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter..I know I did:)

- these are great stories!:)

-and very true of the real friendship and commeraderie...

-kind of hard to explain to another person-

-a special place here; where we can be sometimes so different, yet a close and caring family-

-yeah, Joe- I had to endure several weeks of questions from Terry last year, after you sent the bottles of your red vino up to us...:D-took him a while, and a lot of explaining ,why some guy from New York was sending me bottles of wine that said "Hornybuck Lodge" on the labels...-lol-:D:)

-btw...-it was worth it- your family makes awesome wine-
