Wife's new piece

Just got my wife a new Glock 26 and found some 9mm yesterday. Hopefully we can get out this weekend and kill some paper. This is the first time she's seemed excited about holding a gun in her hands. I hope she likes shooting it.

Nice pistol. Good choice. There were lot's of ladies (old and young) at the practical pistol shoot last night. It's not something that just guys do here. One fellow I met was actually introduced to the sport by his wife. She shoots a 40 and he likes the 9mm. She got involved through her girlfriends and he saw it was so much fun he joined in. Everybody here carries because of the crime too so it's socially acceptable. We just got a new influx of people when FEMA closed the trailer parks for the post Katrina crowd on March,1. Gave them $4000.00 to relocate and cut them lose. Some of them don't look promising either.

Dang, man. You sure make the Valley of the Sun sound so appealing! Maybe you should pick up a part-time gig at the Chamber of Commerce or Tourism Bureau. I know that you can't make chicken salad out of chicken scat, and that you are just telling it like it is, though.

The Indian couple that owns the Subway that's in a small plaza a half block away is closing early now and when I asked why they said it was too risky to stay open late because of the robbery. I heard nothing about it until then. I talked to him at great length about how to get a carry permit. Seems he had extensive training and will purchase a 45 Colt pistol. These are the type of neighbors I like.
