tedicast
Re: is the switchback just a high tech legacy [ QUOTE ] i was looking at both and the switchback looks like it could of passed for an 05 legacy. [/ QUOTE ] Looks can be very deceiving!!! The change in the cams from the straightline cam on the legacy, to the Cobra cam on the Switchback is nothing short of incredible. The Legacy is an awesome bow, but the smoothness of the draw, and the shock free shooting of the SB will blow you away!
ScottyLuck
Re: is the switchback just a high tech legacy [ QUOTE ] well they are going to be similar...why??? they are made by the same company.. I really don't see the incredible stuff tedicast is talking about....Mathews has been making some awesome bows...the Q2 was pure sweetness....so I got used to the innovations rather quickly....if the Cobra is that awesome see how many bows will have it in a couple years.. as in other bow makers paying Mathews to use it, the cam on the LX was the most efficient cam ever tested, ever...even the aliens from outerspace couldn't compete with it, oh wait, now the cobra cam is the best.... so maybe the Legacy is just a glorified Q2 and the switchback is a glorified mini-me LX [/ QUOTE ] So you're saying that Mathews shouldn't continue to improve thier products? The HP cam is amazingly smooth. The Cobra is that much better. The Switchback is a much smoother drawing and shooting bow than the Legacy. I had a Legacy. I'm very familiar with it. I now have a Switchback and it's that much better. The Cobra cam is the best can Mathews hs come out with to date. That's not to say that they won't come out with something better next year. Chrud
Re: is the switchback just a high tech legacy Is there another new cam on the market that produces the same speed at 65% or 80% let-off? The draw cycle between the Outback and Switchback (Outback's HP cam...similar bow to the SB...wouldn't compare the SB to the LX's HP) is noticeably different. The Switchback is pure butter the entire draw. I think the Switchback is just a "very high tech Mathews"...not a high tech Legacy.
