Nut
Well I finally caved in and will be getting bifocals in my new eyeglasses. Prescription changed also:( What I would like to know is what might change is the aspect of looking through a scope or a peep(bow)?
Predator
I would tell them you shoot before getting glasses but I have had no problems with bow peep, rifle iron sights peep or scope. BUT I have had trouble aiming while shooting billiards because of the frame on these smaller style glasses that is popular vs the sort of aviator style I had before. I think I will get some extra standard glasses to solve that.

Tominator
I have "old man" glasses, but I rarely wear them. Grading papers in the last year or so really sucks.
m gardner
I've had them for14 years now. I get the bifocal set as low as possible so I have as large a field of view as possible. If not you'll have to constantly tip your head down so you can see the ground and not trip over anything. I have goofy looking glasses I wear to hunt and shoot they are the old RPG's (rape prevention glasses) with the plastic frames so I can see as close to my nose as possible so I can aquire the sights quickly. The bifocal set too high will get in the way of you vision while glassing too. You'll lose the lower part of your field of view. Get the best quality you can afford so they will be clear all the way to the edge of the glass. I had one set I got dirt cheap and they were not clear at the edge where I looked through the sights. I also don't wear my glasses occasionally so the muscles in my eyes don't get lazy. It helps at the intermediate ranges like where my front sight on my handgun is or the pins on my bow is. Nut
I wish that I had thought of this while at the place. It did not cross my mind until last night during a deer damage hunt when I had the scope of the rifle watching this deer. I kept waiting for more to come out and did not shoot this one.
