woolybear
This was one of the dead bucks I found over winter. Decided to give a euro mount a shot, I think he turned out pretty good for a first time rookies attempt.
RTF
Nice job. I bet you stunk up the house by doing it inside.
buckee
What amazes me is how those antlers got so chewed up, so dang fast. Even before the flesh was gone. Nice job.

woolybear
Yeah but my mother in law was a real trooper. I got her a couple Yankee candles to mask the stank. Couldn't smell it a bit once I got it home lol.

Zambo
Great job, it looks cool. I like the fact that you did not repair the antlers. The chews and the base give it an individual feel from other euro mounts.

Couldn't smell it a bit once I got it home lol. At least if you were going to do it inside you had the decency to do it at yor mother inlaws hous instead of your own:D,looks good. woolybear
Thanks guys, trust me I know I have plenty of room for improvement, just learning as I go and making use of the available resources at my fingertips via this PC. Aren't there products on the market that can repair chewed antlers? Doc Doc, there are a few repair methods out there. I thought about it but seeing he didn't fall to me, decided to keep him as is. Here's a pretty easy link to follow for antler repairs. Some just use bondo, resin and paint. http://www.taxidermy.net/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=dc63e2c28c49d659bbc2172f5db56935&topic=148286.
