woolybear
Color and #. 1 @ the top and 5 being the lowest POI. Rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader, or pistol shots welcome. Your firearms already in position for the shot so don't worry bout scaring him. No bows please. If you elect not to shoot- say pass.
wtnhunt
Honestly I think I would wait for him to turn. Rifle on the ready. He is going to turn left and provide a quartering to shot, will put the bullet directly into the near shoulder as soon as he turns. If I was forced to take a neck shot though, between purple 1 or 2 would break his neck and drop him on impact, I would be pretty confident or comfortable with a shot there under the right circumstances. m gardner
Lowest yellow spot should do it. Yellow # 5. Bingo! Mark
Rhino
Yellow 4 was my 1st choice.
PotashRLS
Yellow #3-3.5 for me. I want to stay away from the low brush in front and also want the bullet to get to the lung/spine area between the shoulders. Should drop him right there. You miss a bit either way and you still are in the chest cavity, but may only have an enterance wound depending on your gun/bullet choice. Nice game. I like seeing other's choices and why. This could be a popular type of thread to continue Edited April 20, 2009 by PotashRLS
rhine16
Red #4 would be my pick, but I'd rather pass hoping he'd turn.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
First, If I seen a deer that big where I hunt, I would go brown 2 Then shoot maybe yellow 3 or 4.
hoythunter37
I think I would have to go with the lowest red dot. I would go with the lowest yellow one but then it would make a bigger hole for my mount!!!!!
redkneck
I'm saying red #4. Depending on wind, the deer's disposition, etc, i'd prefer a turn, but if he's made me out, i'd say my rifle would have no problem putting him down, but no guarantees in any shot we take. Bowtech_archer07
I would preferably wait for him to turn slightly and present and better quartering to shot. If I was forced to shoot, I would put it on yellow 4 or purple 5.
Washi
Yellow 4/5 or purple 1. That deer is staring straight at you, you're busted, and is not going to give a chance at a better shot. He will be running away real soon. Plus it looks close so it will be easy to put it right where you want it.

woolybear
I like yellow 4 myself. Never been one for the all out neck shot and too far left makes me think maybe a possability of a glancing shot off shoulder bone at that sharp angle. Hoosierbuck
Nah, I ain't busted, he'd already be gone. He does know I am there, but he does not know what I am. I will wait him out and when he eventually takes that first slow step to turn and leave, I paste him with a heart/low lung broadside shot. I am passing on this angle and waiting for the turn.
