Al3006 Posted April 22, 2009 Report Share Posted April 22, 2009 I have used a Rem M742 semi in .30-06 for 40 years...the last 10 I have used Remington Premier A Frame in 180 grain and have had excellent results. I have just purchased a Browning semi in 7mm Rem Mag and bought the Rem A Frame in 160 grain (all that Rem offers)....I have also bought Hornady Custom 7mm Rem Mag 154 Interbond....I hunt moose & deer....I know that both the above shells are AOK for deer, but has anyone out there tried these loads for moose and can report your findings... Shaun_300 Posted April 22, 2009 Report Share Posted April 22, 2009 Don't have any experience with those bullets, but I'd say stick to the heaviest grain bullet possible when it comes to moose. Probably 150gr MIN. I've been using 180gr Winchester Supreme Ballistic tips or Remington Premier Accutip out of my .300 WSM when moose hunting. Since I reload now I'll be making up a custom recipe with some 190 or 200 grainers for this season. :D 7mm is a great caliber! Should work well for both moose and deer for ya. Good luck! OJR Posted April 25, 2009 Report Share Posted April 25, 2009 I have used the Interbonds on elk in a 270. 130 grain and they worked just fine. Went clean through the elk and blew out both lungs!
