Turkeygirl
Any final scouting tips for me? I'll be trying to get out in the mornings this weekend and next week, try and pinpoint some gobblers. We've had rain and some cooler temps the last 3 days...going to drop into the 30s tonight....probably will wait and go out Friday morning...calling for upper 70s all weekend! I dunno what that'll do for the birds...youth weekend though:o I just want to pinpoint a bird somewhere so come next Friday, I know where to go:rolleyes: Driving to campus this morning, saw a flock of hens with a gobbler strutting his stuff....I went "NOT FAIR!" out loud, lol:rolleyes:
Strut10
Any final scouting tips for me? Maximize your scouting efforts by picking a listening vantage that allows you to hear the most most-likely areas at once. With the fairly short window you'll have between first gobble and flydown shutup......travelling to another area to listen wastes you valuable time. Check with your topo to see where you really need to be. We've had rain and some cooler temps the last 3 days...going to drop into the 30s tonight....probably will wait and go out Friday morning... Don't waste tomorrow. It was cold & crappy here this morning and the birds were hollering hard.
