okiedog
Well I went down to the gun shop at lunch today and bought this OD Green Glock 19 and a couple of extra mags. I have never owned a Glock and thought I would put a few rounds through one and see how she shoots:cool:
PotashRLS
You'll like it a lot. Too bad ammo is neither plentiful nor cheap right now. A handgun is always a good investment.
Strut10
You'll like it a lot. Agreed. CONGRATS on hooking up with a very fine piece of weaponry.
m gardner
Good choice. As for ammo. We get 800 rounds of 9mm a week at Walmart for $8.97 a box of 50. We know when it comes in and are limited to 4 boxes each. We go to 2 Walmarts. We are blessed by an abundance of them here. I also have 22 conversions for my pistols. You may be able to get one for yours and practice cheaply and often. Mark

Mark How do you like the conversion kits, and is there a certain brand you like better than the others? I was thinking that might be a fun addition to the gun. I'am taking it back down to the shop today and having a set of Trijicon night sights put on it, and see if he has any plugs for the grip. I would like to have a OD green one, but it looks like they are scarce.
m gardner
I have had perfect results with the original manufacturers products. Sig Sauer and Kimber to be exact. I have to use high velocity premium ammo for sure reliability (which they both reccommended) but the Kimber works well with CCI Blazers. The only drawback is that the slide won't stay open on the last shot, but dry firing them doesn't damage the pistol so it's not a big deal if you drop the hammer on an empty chamber. There is a stop in the firing pin so it won't dent the edge of the chamber. Shop around for prices. I got the Kimber cheapest at Midway USA and the Sig cheapest at a local gun shop. It saved me $90.00 by looking around. Mark

My wife and I both liked the feel of the Glocks, but you may prefer something else. Can't really see why.

Shaun_300
Awesome! What caliber is that? I know VERY little about handguns because it's so hard to own them up here. Only one I've shot is my cousin's SIG (think it was a SIG) 40 S&W, he's a police officer and that's what they carry, took it out to the gravel pit one day and I went with him, what a blast to shoot.
