92xj
Trying to get all my ducks in a row for the trip to Washington, and realized that I am going to be driving 9-11 hour days as I go. I have a pretty good feeling by day one all my CDs will be getting pretty old and figured I could get some Books on CD to listen to and pass the time. Anybody have any recommendations or CDs that I could borrow and mail back once I get out there??? I will need something to keep my interest so no love chickflick type stories, needs to have action, drama, and or suspense.
RangerClay
I always go to the library and get Louis L'amour CD's before I go on long trips. Some are short stories and some are a little longer but I highly recommend them.

Hoosierbuck
There are websites that allow you to download books for free (it's like a library collective that does it). Put them on your iPod... HB

GWSmith
Anything from Maximize Personal Power should be something that not only gives you something positive to listen to but also adds tools to your lifestyle that help you effect change. Specifically I would suggest either or both of these: TIME OF YOUR LIFE: 3 STEPS TO TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE THE EDGE: POWER TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE NOW http://www.tonyrobbins.com/Solutions/ProductsDetail.aspx?ProductID=727&SubCategory=Multimedia
Hoosierbuck
I am sure once they are downloaded you could burn them, but I don't know how long that process would take or if you are talking multiple CD's, etc. HB
redkneck
I dont know that they still do it or not, Ben, but when I used to be on the road years ago, the cracker barrell had a selection to choose from. Basically you paid full price for the selection, and next time you stopped at any cracker barrell, they would give you a refund (minus a small fee, like 3 bucks). give them a try if you got them around your neck of the woods.
