VermontHunter
I'm sure this will get moved to the bow room, but until then here's my opinion .. Don't limit yourself to a single manufacturer ,, YES Hoyt is a great bow, but so aren't many others out there .. Shoot as many of them as you can get your hands on and draw from your own experience .. The Alphamax is getting rave reviews ,, but so aren't the others out there .. Good Luck with your choice .. camoman1
Im gonna be keeping an eye on this thread too, im in the market for a new bow too and also am a Hoyt fan, and interested in others opinions I actually shot a few arrows out of an alpahmax at a sporting goods store a few weeks back. That thing is pretty sweet!! The draw length was too long, and it was a different style of release than i am use to and I put 4 arrows in the area of a silver dollar. Granted I was only shooting at maybe 15yds, but it seems to be real forgiving. And boy is it quiet. I agree with VermontHunter and go shoot a bunch of em, thats what im gonna start doing. snapper
I haven't put too many arrows through my new Alphamax yet...but so far I have no complaints. I shot a few Mathews the same day...ended up with the Hoyt. Can't really go wrong with just about any bow on the market...find one that fits and in your price range...done!
