With everything going on in your life right now Jeremy that you read a book. This book has heled me through a lot and its a very easy read. I would send it to you but I have it loaned out right now and dont know if I will get it back before the move. Ask your parents to take you to a book store and pick it up. The title is Traveling Light written by Max Lucado. It is an amazing book and will make you look at things a whole different way and realize that your thoughts and pains in your life and a learning block. Please figure out a way to get to the bookstore to pick this book up, you will not regret it. http://www.booksofthebible.com/p4403.html

m gardner
I was once told by a pastor that the christian churches would be full if it wasn't for the christians. Find a church that preaches and studies the Bible. You can't go wrong. People are going to be people though. Mark
hungry hunter
Too many people have forgot what the Bible is all about. You go to church to worship with man, Church is supposed to be a place of worship with each other. It seems like today it is alot of drama and poor mouthing. When I came back from the first Gulf war and went to the church that my family built, I was told I was sitting in reserved seats since that family donated the money for the pews. My answer was its GODS house not your private pews. The parson came to me after I settled my family in the back of the church and opened my Bible and told me that I needed to pray up front since I was a sinner because I dipped snuff and fought In a war where human life was taken. I have not been back in church since. The man upstairs knows my faith is strong along with my belief in the Bible. I pray on the farm every day. Christianity teachs us to forgive. As humans we do forgive but we don't forget.

Church is a place to worship the Lord on Sundays, but your heart is a place to worship him every day of the week. Church is supposed to be a place to get together with other brothers and sisters in Christ, to be fed, uplift one another and look into the mirror at yourself . If that's not happening, find another church or look inside your own heart to see where your relationship is. I don't know where I'd be today, without the Lord in my life. Tominator
We are all human, and none of us is perfect. You will always have some that pass judgement on you, even in the perfect church, I'm convinced of that. It's really quite simple in my mind. Read and try to emulate the new testament to the best of your ability. When you fall, ask for forgiveness and try to learn from it.
m gardner
In a Bible believing church you would not forceably seat someone in the back. As you read and study the Bible you will see specific references not to favor anyone over another. This is not a good church to be in. Sounds like you need to visit a few different churches and find the one for you!

hungry hunter
Jeremy, to answer you question How did I not loose my cool. First I considered the source, went outside and had a dip and waited for the family to finish church. Some of the folks thought I would go off, nope two weeks later I was stationed in Panama. They still try to get me to come back but it seems they only call when they need something. I get more reading and praying when I am on a log up on the hill without distractions. fly
see the thing is the same thing happend at the church before this. Jeremy. I'm guilty of seeing something in church and planning to leave because of it. Then a good friend said something to me that I'll never forget. He said he too thought about leaving a few years prior, but that he prayed and felt God wanted him to stay and change the things that were problems. He is very involved in the church now and has made several changes for the better (mostly leading by example). There are still problems, but realizing problems are present in most if not all churches (as someone mentioned we are all sinful people) may help your motivation.
