crazyfarmer
ive recently starting looking into one of these cameras but im puzzled as to the specs... I found one which is HD with 40x optical and 2000 digi zoom. I'm concerned more about optical of coarse. It takes the memory stick type card. Its roughly 500 which isnt a bad deal. I would rather have a mini dv, but everyone one of those I find in HD has only 10x otpical or maybe 20x but sells for well over 800. whats a good mini dv handy cam with HD for the price? The reason for mini dv is because it would be easier for me just to pop the mini dv into the DVD player for my wife so she can play back the recordings. Or are the memory stick ones easy to review also on TV? thanks in advance and any info would be great as far as quality goes
wtnhunt
I replied in your thread in the prostaff room a bit earlier. If it were me, I would check very closely on the sony hdr hc9. Looks like that camera can be found for well under $1000 at reputable stores. I just noticed though that you are saying mini dv and you probably mean mini dvd. There is a difference. Mini dv is a tape format, mini dvd is a disc. The mini dvd pose editing issues from what I understand.
