coles Posted February 7, 2005 Report Share Posted February 7, 2005 yesterday i went out huntin. all together i saw 8 yotes. i dont know what was goin on but there was coyotes everywhere. i think it had to do with the snow. snowed about an inch. i think i got one of em when he was runnin but i couldnt tell. the others were either in with a bunch of cows or half a mile away. ill be out next weekend cole Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

sureshot Posted February 8, 2005 Report Share Posted February 8, 2005 Re: coyotes-8, cole-0 coles up here it was totally opposite, sat they were calling good but yesterdya I seen 3 coyotes allday and got 2,both were called in, only seen one while drivign, they were not moving!have you tried to call them? I called 4 last weekend after I seen them, I seen them from the road 1/2 mile off got in a low spot, walked in a few hundred yards so the coyote had to coem behind me to wind me and called, they came in like fish on a line!As long as you stay low and they do not see you or the truck stop they will respond if 1/2 mile away!Good luck!! coles Posted February 8, 2005 Author Report Share Posted February 8, 2005 Re: coyotes-8, cole-0 yeah i tried calling but it didnt seem to work so i was moving to a new spot and saw one while i was walking. so i tryied to sneak closer to him when he went behind a hill but he disappeared. i didnt find his tracks in the snow but lost em in the dirt. where i hunt it is bad lands and open hills, not much to hide behind. im going to go out sometime soon but i really need to get a new scope for my 22-250. its really blurry. anyone have suggestions on a good really high powered scope for under $250. i saw a tasco 6-24 and i think that will suit my fine. the price was 120$ i think. i guess ill have to start doin odd jobs.
