tc2506
i no its mostly a handgun cartridge but has anyone ran across any bd tables for a 44mag with 20in barrel, all i,ve found have been for handguns with short barrels of around 8in thanks in advance tc
hangunnr
Give us a bullet weight and velocity and we'll give you a drop chart. Barrel length isn't really a concern. hangunnr
terry264
If you get online with remington, winchester, or federal, their charts are all with 20" barrel rifles, and you can download their programs to keep and play with. Rem and Win are the same programs just geared for their own brand of factory loads. (Remshoot & Winshoot).
tc2506
thanks guys:) i dont no how i missed it:o, i,d looked at winchester site and i guess i looked right over the 44mag listing in a rifle caliber, it shows there 240gr bullet at 1760fps and also shows bd, thats realy all i was wanting was a reference on bd,, i,m shooting the hornady leverevolutions in a 225gr they show the same velocity of 1410 in both a rifle and pistol but dont show barrel length so i,m assuming that both charts from hornady are for the same barrel length etc, the velocity has to be higher with a longer barrel therfore it would have a little less drop right hornadys site for some reason doesnt show drop on this particular round, but anyways thanks again i,ve found a reference to go by on the winchester site,

popgun
For those of you who do not already have it, you should download this free software from Remington. It is very informative and a fun program to use. http://www.remington.com/products/ammunition/ballistics/remington_shoot_ballistics_software.asp I have found it so accurate that I can zero most of my guns in at a 50 yard range and it will be right on at 100 to 150. I hope this helps someone like it has me. I can usually zero and check my rifles shooting 4 or less shots. ....popgun
