I just put the tail and the beard (not this year cuz he didnt have one lol) in one of those wooden plaques. My dad and I have been experimenting with making our own.

I think a full mount of a strutting tom or one gobbling or a both would be cool. I just dont have the money or the place to put one just yet.

first bird I shot was a jake so I didn't have it mounted... my first longbeard I had made into a turkey rug... now have a strut mount, flying mount, and a couple more turkey rugs to the collection. also have a couple tail and wings I've done myself. if I had the room and could afford it I'd mount every turkey I shot. :D

I had my first gobbler done by a taxidermist. I just had the full fan, beard and legs placed on a wooden plaque. I would have had a full mount done, but didn't have the money. I mount the tails/beards on plaques myself now.

I just shot my first tom actually this year. I have shot a couple hens before during the fall, but yea. I have the beard and tail in the freezer. I'm thinking about trying to mount them both on a plaque. I think I will do the same for my next one, because I believe I'm now going to take out my bow for my second for the season.
