camoman1
I just put the tail and the beard (not this year cuz he didnt have one lol) in one of those wooden plaques. My dad and I have been experimenting with making our own. I think a full mount of a strutting tom or one gobbling or a both would be cool. I just dont have the money or the place to put one just yet. jbeck
I mounted mine on Mashed patatos and trimmed it with a side of sweet corn. JMO but I can spend the money to mount a turkey.
WHISKEYSWAMP
first bird I shot was a jake so I didn't have it mounted... my first longbeard I had made into a turkey rug... now have a strut mount, flying mount, and a couple more turkey rugs to the collection. also have a couple tail and wings I've done myself. if I had the room and could afford it I'd mount every turkey I shot. ccwhitey
My first bird was a bearded hen that I got stuffed. Other than that I have never done anything with my other birds because lack of time and money since I go to college. Otherwise I hope to make a few turkey rugs WHISKEYSWAMP when I get out of college

fly
I had my first gobbler done by a taxidermist. I just had the full fan, beard and legs placed on a wooden plaque. I would have had a full mount done, but didn't have the money. I mount the tails/beards on plaques myself now.
Strut10
My first was a jake. I just had a fan/feet/beard done.
Bowtech_archer07
First bird was a jake as well, kept the feet and the beard. My first longbeard my dad and I made a plaque for him, spread out the fan, then had the beard hanging from the middle of that and the feet on either side of it. It looks pretty cool. dbHunterNY
I just shot my first tom actually this year. I have shot a couple hens before during the fall, but yea. I have the beard and tail in the freezer. I'm thinking about trying to mount them both on a plaque. I think I will do the same for my next one, because I believe I'm now going to take out my bow for my second for the season.
RangerClay
I have a plaque with the beard from my first bird on the wall. I have never been a big fan of turkey mounts. Being dark colored and covered with feathers I will bet they are hard to keep clean and dust free.
wtnhunt
Nope, sure didn't, was not really the most impressive bird out there. I would like to have one mounted though, also want to have a bobcat mounted in stalk position.
chaseasl
I don't think I will ever get one mounted, just too expensive, I do have a couple of fan mounts
