92xj
Awesome view! Get that bike off there and rip around on those hills! :D IF I had a way I could get it back loaded like it is by myself I would, and also if I knew I wouldnt get in trouble. Those hills would be a ton of fun!!! I did see some dude riding a quad on the highway today. I think if he was going the same direction I was he could have passed me. toddyboman
just for clarity MO is a GREAT state.....you just have to get off the main road and out of the city to see it :D:D
The_Kat
Yeah the worst is over!!! If anybody ever has the chance to drive through the state of Missouri I would highly NOT recommend it. By far the worst state so far. It is just boring and never ending. Tomorrow should be awesome, driving from here to Wyoming, hopefully get to see some of yellowstone and then heading to montana for the night. AGREED, I hated Mizzou. It never ends!!!! 92xj
Dont have time to pull over and take the pics. The good thing about being west of the mississippi is there is no such thing as traffic, its amazing. I just pulled into Missoula Montana for the night. I must say that Montana is simply amazing. By far the best state I have been through and I thought about stopping and looking for a job here. It is unreal. I have a few pics that I will post once they finish downloading. Wyoming is neat. I had to have seen over 1500 pronghorns today. From 30 miles before Gillette, in Gillette and up to the Montana line they are freaking everywhere. There were groups of 5 up to 60. It was awesome. Montana had tons of Mullies and some Whitetails. South Dakota was full of ducks. Every bird that flew in SD were ducks. My mouth was watering and my index finger was pulling the trigger on my imaginary gun. The only game animal that I have seen in everywhere single state are Doves. Indiana had the most but they are everywhere. Also every single state has had a dead skunk on the road. weird. anyhow, pics soon!!!!!! 92xj
montana when I woke up from my nap and looked out the windshield this kinda freaked me out... Did not plan that one bit..... thats all for now. Montana KILLED my gas mileage. Dang 60 mph head wind, took my down from 20 mpg to 14!!! Also I was lucky to hit 55 mph. Once the wind stopped, right back up to 20mpg and 75 mph. Tomorrow, I am leaving missoula heading to Glacier national park then over to Bonners Ferry Idaho and ending in Spokane Washington for the night. buckee
Beautiful pictures, and oh how they bring back memories. I just loved driving through Montana and I also noticed that the Antelope were very plentiful, the closer I got to Gillette. I think Steve B is baiting them

Canuck2
Very nice pictures, and I sure recognize some of that country. A bunch of them antelope look like they have significant headgear; anyone know when they 'shed' and start growing the new crop? I'll be waving at you when you reach Spokane, just 2 hours south of here.

But I really dont know what I am talking about, thats just what I have heard.

buckee
Ben, each year after the breeding season, the old sheath surrounding the horn is shed and replaced by a new sheath. I'm sure Steve Beilgard can "shed" more light on this subject as far as what time of the year, or when they shed their Horn sheaths. I suspect, but not sure, that it is more of a random process, like a snake shedding it's skin as it grows, but I'm not sure. Good time for us all to learn something... eh
