jesse8953
This link should help http://www.chasingame.com/ I need to buy me one too! Had a bushnell, took it back to cabelas. It went through batterys fast. My friend has a mourltrie it takes good pictures. My taxidermist has a cuddyback it is nice too! Little more money for the cuddyback but I think the trigger spead is better.
wtnhunt
Depends on what you want to spend, but agree about checking the chasingame site for getting a general idea, might also search back through the forums here and in the photo room. Cuddeback is supposed to be better now with their customer service, leaf river makes solid cams. There are some more expensive cams on the market, reconyx and predator look to be well made cams but they are a bit pricey. From what I have read the moultries still seem questionable on performance, but are better than they were in the past, same goes for stealth. All my cams but one are homebrews. crazyfarmer
trust me.. try the cuddeback capture. Dont get the IR model, just get the cheaper capture. Its a excellent first cam and very VERY simple to use! I have 5 of them now since I can get 5 compared to only 2 of the expensive ones and thise 180buck ones work just as well! Customer service is great now also!!
Wimpy
If money is not an issue I would definitely look at the Reconyx. The trigger speed is phenominal and they are very simple to use.
Turkeygirl
I actually just ordered my first trail cam - a Scoutguard 550....did alot of reading on chasingame.com....alot of good reviews on this and alot of people said it was a great cam for the money...I liek that it could be hidden more easily compared to some. I'll hopefully be setting it up next weekend!
