robk
Re: Shakey Hunter or Whisker Biscuit? whiskerbisquit a good rest check out the whiper disk from golden key futura. if you want a drop away and i have shot them allit seems but he mirage was the one i stayed with. the logic is simplei can lay it down and not have to worry about my arrow falling of the rest or the holder i just pick it up and pull the string back and let er rip. it is so easy to set up and idiot like me can do it in record time lol take a look at both of them and also you don't have to woory about noise or the fibers freezing on a whipser disk rob k

JimT
Re: Shakey Hunter or Whisker Biscuit? Either one will work. But I prefer the WB.
Guest Finn
Re: Shakey Hunter or Whisker Biscuit? Try them both and see which you like better. I prefer the Shakey, but you can't go wrong either way.

Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Shakey Hunter or Whisker Biscuit? It is totally up to you and your preferances. You really aren't comparing an apples to apples product. First you have to decide what you want, a fall away or a full capture type of rest and then narrow it down to the actual product. Here is what to consider: W.B. - Full feather contact ... but has no effect on flight. - Full capture rest, so arrow can not come off. A great idea for the hunting environment. - No moving parts. - Buscuits tend to wear down over time. - Can be hard on fletching and feathers. Shakey Hunter - No contact. - Even though it is wide, the arrow can still come off the rest. - Moving parts. - Probably more accurate (however slight) Personally, I use a W.B. on my hunting bow. I've found that it's features fit my needs better than a fall away for hunting. My back up bow is going to be used primarily for league shooting. So it is going to be equiped with a fall away, the QAD to be exact. Again, it is all personal preferance. You'd probably be better comparing the shakey against other fall aways and the W.B. against other full capture rests.

TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Shakey Hunter or Whisker Biscuit? My wife has a shakey hunter rest and it works well for her. To much feather contact on the WB I think but they are great for hunting. Whichever one you think will work for you. Try them both and then pick the one that you like. fisherguy
Re: Shakey Hunter or Whisker Biscuit? I love the whisker biscuit. Since the contact is even on all sides the arrow flies true, and loses a negligable amount of speed. I really love the security, once i put an arrow in it is not going anywhere. Particularly with the softer bristles in the B2 biscuit i think it is hard to beat. For hunting i am a bit shy of drop-away rests simply because it is another moving part that could malfunction. Switchback29A1
Re: Shakey Hunter or Whisker Biscuit? It's true either one you pick you will probley be happy with but I personally shoot a WB and I too was worried about arrow speed and vane durability. All you have to do is put a drop of glue on the tip of each vane and your worries are gone. Personally id go with the WB, but it is your choice. mainebuck
Re: Shakey Hunter or Whisker Biscuit? I shoot the shakey hunter. I had a rest that made full contact with the arrow and I'm much more accurate with the fall away. I think you'll find the drop away is much quieter during the draw than the WB.
