woolybear
We were just talking about this the other day on another board. On my way home from my turkey hunt looking for any stray sheds I may have missed. Stumbled on theses finds in a creekbottom laying about 5 feet apart. Don't mind the date on the cam, it's off. These are from the 5'th. You guys got any odd finds?
KirkV
Man finding the pistol would make one think it was ditched after a murder or something. Would have been tempted to bring the police forensics in on that one!

Would have been tempted to bring the police forensics in on that one! Was thinking along those lines myself .. Just not a natural thing to come across in my opinon .. wtnhunt
Ummm yeah, gotta agree with what Kirk said. That is pretty strange. Don't find too much interesting stuff around here, but do occasionally find some old indian tools.
woolybear
Well it definately made me take a quick look over my shoulder. Upon further inspection turned out to be a Marksman repeater pellet pistol. Nice solid little side arm but I doubt it had many innocent victims larger than itself! stevebeilgard
i had similar thoughts to the above. glad it's something a bit different. that's a big bore rifle bolt. must have been lost.
buckee
If and when you find anything like that. #1 - don't touch anything #2 - call the police Chances are they were used in a crime, and for that reason alone, you don't want anything to do with them. OJR
Very unusual find!
GWSmith
Interesting finds but I would not worry about either of them. The top one has a pop-rivet in it which makes me believe that it's not from a high powered rifle of any type and more likely from a kids imitation rifle or popgun. Grant-KS
Interesting! The bolt has been there for quite a while! The pistol looks pretty harmless.
Hoosierbuck
My first guess is that they were stolen and stashed and that the kid who stole them from his "friend" never went back to get them. HB

I used to have a BB Pistol that looked just like the one above. Wonder if my Mom finally got tired of me shooting the cats and decided to ship it to a creek in NY?????
