muggs
You're actually concerned about establishing a handicap. Not many other things in life encourage you to want to do that...just a thought, probably been said a thousand times before.
JJL
The USGA handicapping system is a joke. My card says that I'm a 12. Friday I shot an 81..........Saturday I shot a 76............Sunday I shot 78 and 91..........Monday I threw a 116 at them..............(might have had some alcohol involved with that 116........ I don't really remember). It's supposed to level the playing field between everyone, but only if we shoot our average consistently. That's impossible. I love being able to net in the low 60's however. It can be a real money-maker at times.
muggs
Yeah, my handicap is higher than it should be in my league (they figure it from week to week, not me so it's not my fault) so I tend to sandbag... nothing I can do about it though.
