brudaman340
Well i went out for the 3rd time this year in our NY season and no luck again. Last weekend we saw alot of turkey but none of them would come in. So, we moved in and around but they were gone by the time we got to the other side. I went out this morning and not a sound. I have heard that they are quiet if it rained the day before. I dont know if thats true though. I started walking back home and i got the the edge of the corn field called a little and i saw 4 birds running toward me. I think it was to late once i saw them but, i dove into the weeds and got set up. Called some more but they never came. I think they saw me. Oh well ill be back at it tomorrow morning again to try to get my first turkey. Hopefully i will suceed after 4 years at it. Wish me luck. Turkeygirl
The one I'm chasing has one hen with him....tough hunting...And now we are getting some not so nice weather tonight and Mother's Day...I think if it's rained but the next morning is a sunny calm morning, they'll gobble. I've heard overcast quiets them down....but hey, nothing is completely predictable.
