Turkeygirl
There could always be worse things to happen on Mother's Day...or any other day but a bummer anyway. My sister was gone as she does each morning, helping feed rabbits for a lady (she has a hundred or so rabbits). I went out to feed our horses, rabbits, chickens, etc...I see my sister's one rabbit is not in his cage, eventhough the door is shut. Well he is sitting over by another rabbit's cage. I pick him up, thought boy he's calm, put him in his cage then as he hops, I see something is wrong, his one back foot is dangling! So I ran in and told mom, we put him in a box. As soon as my sister got home, told her, she called our vet, also our neighbor, he said bring it over, so my mom and sister went over to the vet's house and I guess he wrapped it up and what not. It's a bad break though he said so not sure what'll happen. I had a rabbit awhile back that broken it's leg, the vet wrapped it and actually it healed up and you wouldn't have known it'd been broken. The break wasn't as bad though as this one. I think it was a little rough on my sister...the rabbit is suprisingly calm but I know rabbits can stress out easily as well. sskybnd
was just wondering why someone would take a rabbit to the vet with a broken legg when the frying pan would have been much closer
