Flintlock1776
My good old John Deere is getting long in the tooth. I was looking at the X540. Anyone have experience with this or a competing brand in the same price point?
Tominator
Pretty happy with my Kubota. Might want to check them out. http://www.kubota.com/f/products/BX1850comps.pdf
wtnhunt
Pretty happy with my Kubota. Might want to check them out. http://www.kubota.com/f/products/BX1850comps.pdf Same here. Been pretty happy with both my lawn and utility kubota's. For what that jd costs with the 54 inch deck, you could save up a little more and get a kubota 22 horse diesel kubota with a 60 inch deck. Flintlock1776
Thanks. I did not see as many features as with the JD. Plus I need capability to lug around my Cyclone Rake XL The capacity on the Cyclone is big: 415 gallons 55 cubic feet 44 bushels My current JD strains to deal with it if I bag grass, seems OK with dead leaves. Strut10
Pretty happy with my Kubota. Me too. We run 3 orange tractors on the tree farm from 18 to 70 hp. They are a nice machine. One of the BX series might just fit your needs.
Strut10
Just looked at the Deere website. The X540 is less money than the BX Kubotas. But it's a lawnmower. Were you thinking of doing foodplot work with it?? Or is a lawnmower what you are needing??
Flintlock1776
I bought the John Deere x520. Only option I added was halogen headlights. It will be delivered on Saturday. 54" deck. It should do the trick especially with the Cyclone Rake taking up the cuttings.
