Raw deal on another forum. Am I wrong here?

So here's the deal. I posted that I wanted to traid ONCE FIRED 38 Special on a 2:3 ratio with 9mm, sence that seems to be about the difference in price for brass. The guy offered a straight trade and I accepted. I told him that I wanted to get the brass looking presentable and I would send it when I got it tumbled and polished. So two days later I pm him and tell him I'm sending the brass, he pms' me back and says the same.

I've not reloaded long and have never realoaded for pistol. The brass was in pretty rough shape and some of it was shorter. I threw it in the tumbler and let it run for 3 days before it looked like something I'd want to load. After I threw it in the tumbler I pm'd him again and asked him about the shorter brass and he said that the rest of it was probably stretched that it had all been reloaded several times and he really didn't know how many. That irritated me just a bit.

After tumbling I started sizing/depriming and noticed that a bunch of it was military brass and I don't have the tool to pull the crimp out of it. I pm'd him again and told him. He suggested that I get the tool and told me how to do it. Only problem, there's no place to get it and the shipping alone would be more than the brass is worth.

So as I'm seperating the military from the non-military I'm looking at the ends of the cases and notice 380auto's and all the short 9mm had a BrC stamp on them icon_smile_angry.gificon_smile_angry.gif So I measure one of those 9mm BrC and it's the same dadgum size as the 380's.

I pm the guy again and he tells me that he'll send me another shipment of his brass (unpolished) if I'll send back his polished sized 9mm/380. So I tell him that I'm irritated that I didn't even get the right caliber of brass from him and I don't think it should be my responsibility to fix his mistake, that he should send me the right stuff and if he wanted the stuff I had polished and resized, he should send the shipping cost with the new brass.

I've not heard back from him yet.

John, go to the local range or gravel pit and pick up 9's to reload. Lots of folks just leave them. I get most of my 45's from the range. But you need to remember that self loading pistols beat brass cases up badly at times. I give all my 9's to a young couple who have found out they can't get 100% reliable ammo from them and use factory for competition and self defense. My Sig P220 actually dents and deforms the rims which I've found out gives me 2 loadings before they won't reliably function.
