Rhino
I still got to find a string for my longbow though if I'm going to hunt with it any. Slacker!! :D Better tighten up! I bought 2 new strings for my recurve from 3 Rivers Archery a couple of months ago.
fly
The warm weather (80's today) always makes me anxious for fall. I was thinking the same thing. Problem is that 13 weeks really is longer than I care to wait. Fishing helps some, but there's nothing like bow season!
Dakota
Bow season starts the last weekend in September for deer here in SD and runs through January 31st. However, speed goat season starts the third weekend in August and I'll be out chasing goats in WY second weekend of September! Only fourteen weeks to wait!! Edited May 21, 2009 by JimT

redkneck
I added a ticker to my sig, since apparently I either cant multiply single digit numbers or don't know the months of the year. 13 sounded a lot better than 17...... I like it! I need to do that to, how's it done? I also want to point out that scouting and stand setting starts a lot earlier than Oct. 1st! For me the season really starts the first cool day (high in the low 60's) in September when I can get out in the woods without sweating to death. LMAO!!!! I agree with ya on 13 sounding better than 17... That ticker RULES!!!! Is there any way to make the turtle a deer?
redkneck
I couldnt find a deer. Very few animals, so i picked a turtle cuz that's how slow summer is going to pass, and also corresponds to the speed my brain runs at (they did have a snail, though....maybe that suits me better!) Dakota
I've been slacking on my traditional journey too... Haven't shot the recurve in a couple weeks. I'll get started back soon though. Going to be pretty cool to see which one of us three gets a deer with the stickbows first. Well, I'm right there with ya'. I'll be bringing the longbow along with me while checking my trapline and see if I can't bag a deer. Dakota

HOYTnMUZZYboy
I have had my countdown going on my computer since the end of season lastyear. I can't wait to get out and play a lil string music!!! Aug 15? I dunno if i could deal with all the bugs that early. Early Oct is bad enough around here.
