Shaun_300
I was out in the garage this afternoon getting the lawn tractor gassed up to cut the lawn, pass by my golf clubs and this bird flies right up in front of me and scares the livin' daylights out of me! He lands on the window sill and I walk slowly up to it. It was a baby blackbird that could just barely fly. He was chirping and carrying on, and I was standing a few feet away talking softly to him. I got closer and closer and actually started petting him on his back. Then I put my hand out and he hopped onto my hand and continued his conversation with me. I took him up to the window where my parents where getting supper ready. Mom and dad came out and looked at him and couldn't believe how calm he was just sitting there in my hand. I took him outside and he met up with his mother and took off with her. Thought it was pretty cool! Not usually do they come that close to people! GWSmith
Shaun the "Bird Whisperer":D It is pretty rare that anyone can interact that closely and the parents will take the bird back. Most of the time they will take off and leave the young one to die.

wtnhunt
That is pretty funny Shaun. We have a bluebird that flys out of the shed every time I walk out there. They have a nest next to my fence charger. Pretty used to them flying out. I have a rather large piece of steel pipe about 3 foot tall in the shed that I stand a lot of tools(shovels, rakes, etc) up in. Went to get a rake out the other day and had a bird fly out about hit me in the face, startled me pretty good. Never expected a bird to come from down inside that pipe.
