hungry hunter
This goes to all the Hoyt owners. How come you can't find any prices on Hoyt bows unless you go to the archery shop. I called a Hoyt dealer to price the Alphamax and Katera I was told that They are not allowed to give prices over the phone. Any truth:rolleyes: not bashing or disrespecting Hoyt but considering the distances I have to drive to look at bows good information before you spend the day in the big city. hungry hunter
Seriously, they would not give me the prices. I could not even get prices off Hoyt website.
Randy
More than likely, the proshop just wants to get you in the door. I've seen them priced about $25 differently at different shops and just because one place is cheaper, doesn't mean the other place won't beat the price with a package deal. fly
Outdoor Life magazine prices the Alphamax at $899.00. Among several new bows listed in the comparison the Alphamax was the most expensive. The Iceman by Diamond was listed at 829.00. My local pro-shop doesn't carry Hoyt, but the Iceman goes for 769.00. I'd say an 800.00-825.00 price tag for the new Alphamax would be a good deal, a little less for the Katera. The pro-shop in my area gives out prices over the phone. I would say that those prices are pretty much in line with last year prices on the Katera ... The Pro Shop I deal with here will quote a price on the phone, but would prefer you to visit their store in person as most would IMO .. Tom2008
Seriously, they would not give me the prices. I could not even get prices off Hoyt website. You won't ever find the prices on Hoyt's website. The reason is because of the different prices that dealers put them up for.

crazyfarmer
best advice would be just to go to the shop and look... more than likely, they think you are pricing for another store
