Jwood
I was curious how you guys control your scent while hunting out of a primitive base camp?
HOYTnMUZZYboy
Take a bar of soap, find a river, stream or lake. Get wet, scrub down and rinse yourself off . Repeat as needed. But the more you stink the less you will half to worry bout the bugs.
sskybnd
yepp what he said :Dkinda hard to have a good scent control in camp with the fire burning, cooking of food and such. but a good shower or creek bath with a scent free bar of soap should get you good to go. MUDRUNNER
We park the truck close to where we camp at.We use a canvas outfitter tent and have a fire going in it most of the time.I keep all my gear in rubbermade containers inside the truck.I get dressed outside(which can be pretty darn cold at times) and spray every layer as I put it on.Once I get a little ways from camp I spray the outside layer again.I never eat or drink(except water) in my hunting clothes and they never go inside the tent. On the flip side my cousin keeps his clothes in containers in the tent, and manages to kill deer consistantly, even though his clothes smell smokey.
