These spammers are getting old. FAST!!!

There is a little yellow sign button with a "!" in it at the upper right corner of each post for reporting the post.

Is anybody using it? Honestly, I never have. Would that be more helpful to the mods if we did that instead of these "HEY! spammer on aisle 3" posts?

I'm asking a serious question. Would using the [report post] button be more helpful?

Yes it does help...some folks use it.

We can't be here 24/7, but there is usally someone (mod) around fairly often. If you "report" a thread...it gets sent to all mods. through email.

This is the best we can do...for the most part I believe we do a good job nuking these threads and banning the users. But we can use your help!

hard to block a new user. we just have to patrol the forums and can them as they arise.

Yep, we get em as quick as we can. Usually have a pretty good idea of users who will end up being spammers, once they have posted mods can ban the spammers and with the new software those users information is supposed to go on a list. Believe it or not a lot of spam never makes it to the forums or is very short lived.

Yes it does help Leo, that generates an email to mods of those rooms or can generate emails to all mods in some cases. There have been a few recently who have used this feature.

I never noticed it 'til now. Maybe a more simple box that states clearly "Report this Post" would be more effective IMHO?
