VermontHunter
My Grill Bowtie was peeling the gold real bad and didn't look good at all, so it was either go to the dealership and pay close to a $100 for a new one or do what I just did .. 3 coats of gray primer,3 coats of Chevy Indigo Blue, and 4 coats of clear and this is what I ended up with ... I have to wait 20-30 days before waxing the crap out of it but I think the $20 I spent instead of the almost $100 was well worth it .. what do you folks think ?? The_Kat
It's darker than your paint, but for 20$ versus 100$ I could surely live with it. Nice job!

Actually Kyle it's not darker ,, it's just the way the picture came out ,, look at just the Bowtie Picture, see how much lighter it is,
redkneck
My peeling bowtie just adds character to my truck, along with the missing right foglight courtesy of a nanny, a bent back bumper courtesy of a water oak.
Chrud
Looks good Luke! I don't think a color match is critical. I've seen a red bowtie on a black Silverado and that looks pretty sweet!

lil hunter
that looks pretty nice. If you really wanna set off the front end of the truck, sand the black bumper and grey valance til they are smooth, and color match them to the truck too. Makes 'em look way better than the stock look.
