#18-Kyle Busch said it point-blank: "It's never Junior; it's always the crew chief." Busch fired that opening volley of driver reaction Friday morning to Hendrick Motorsports' dismissal of Tony Eury Jr. as #88-Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s crew chief on Thursday. Asked about Eury's replacement, Lance McGrew, with whom Busch worked in the Nationwide Series at Hendrick in 2004, Busch expressed pity for McGrew. "He's got his hands full, I guess, having to deal with what's going on," Busch said. "And if Junior doesn't run well, then he [McGrew] is going to be the 'problem' again." Still, Busch said he understood the move to bolster the driver who replaced him at Hendrick last season, both because of Earnhardt's star power and Busch's salary issues. "You've got to make the most popular driver in the sport competitive, so you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess," Busch said.(ESPN)(5-29-2009)

That guy is something else....what does it matter to him who anybodies crew chief except for his own. Seems to me Kyle is also pretty quick to point fingers when things dont go his way... JR. isnt the best driver out there, but he has proven before that he can win races, maybe this change will get him out of this funk he's in.

Seems to me that Kyle sucked hard when he was with Hendrick and didn't get any notoriety until he switched to JGR last year. I recall him winning like only one race a year until the switch. I guess his success has fogged his memory and he was always the greatest thing since sliced bread. He's a walking highlight reel... at least recently.

Kyle certainly should keep his mouth shut and stick to commenting on JGR and his own business. Truth is Jr's move to Hendrick was to be the second coming of Dale Sr. as some have stated. What is the excuse? He has the best equipment anyone could have. He can drive. He had some success with Eury in the past. Is it the COT car he can't get a grip on or is it that he just does not have the fire to win like his father had? Guys like Tony Stewart, Johnson and Gordon have all shown that fire in their careers and still do. Jr needs a kick in the boiler or a spark to the heart to get that fire going. Maybe Kyle's comments will do that.

KB took 2nd at the Milwaukee Mile yesterday....from his interview you would have think someone put him in the wall....what a sore loser!! He was kinda rude to the lady interviewing him I thought. She said thank you and good luck at Sonoma and he just walked away in a huff.....I wonder why lots of fans dont like him??

I think it is a good move to change the crew chief.

You must also look at one thing, JR is NOT DALE SR!

Couldn't have said it better myself, Orlan. ;) I was a Dale Sr. fan but just can't see myself rooting for Jr. Isn't there another son as well?

Dakota :)
