ildrhntr
I would have to continue hunting and let him pass
fly
A 200 incher walks no question about it. Hunting is too much a part of who I am and I've already got a 171 on the wall. However, if it was a typical 213 6/8 or bigger I'd shoot it, mount it (full body), and then invite Cabela's, Bass Pro, and (the dancing queen: JJL ) to the auction. Bidding would start at 1/2 a million or no sale. I'd then buy a lot of land and manage it for five years for quality animals. That way me and my kids would never have to worry about having a great place to hunt.
Jorden
YES YES YES, he would be down so fast:D The chances of seeing a 200" deer in the wild is so rare, there is no way I could pass him up. Ya I love hunting but I am at the point in my life where I dont have a lot of time to be hunting anyway unfortunately, with and looking for a job and all. I would have no problem with filming my family and friends. I need to start building up footage anyway:D;)

HUNTINGMAN
No shot for me,I would have to throw my bow from the tree to keep from shooting but I couldnt give up something that is number 2 in my life right under my family.
layin on the smackdown
I initially said no way, i'd let him walk...and i am stickin to it...However, after reading so many responses from people in different areas, its obvious to me that the majority of the people who live in "Big Buck" states would also pass, and the people who live in states that would rarely produce such an animal would take the animal and give up 5 years of hunting rights.... I also noticed that most people who have kids, regardless of where they are from, would take the shot and spend the next five years teaching/videoing for them or others...totally respectable and realistic. The idea of the bet being from a spouse is also humorous... The bottom line is, for those people who live in areas where bucks don't reach 150', its understandable why they would take the animal.... but for the people who live in areas where bucks reach 200', my question is why? Ive heard to much crap about how 200' deer are so rare and bla bla bla...Guess what, in IL there are quite a few 200 inchers, its a fact...they arent that big because they are stupid....in all actuality, the only ones you ever hear of have been hit by a car or killed by hunters...and those are the ones who are reported. Do you know how many 200 inchers are out there that never get killed by hunters or cars? There are a lot more out there than you will ever know...the problem is finding them and getting permission to access them.
Shaun_300
I'd have to shoot, wouldn't be able to hold back on a buck that big!
dance.and.shoot
My one question to you all: You begin the season this fall (with a bow, gun or whatever). A 200 PLUS whitetail walks out for an easy shot, BUT you have a deal where if you take this unbelievable trophy, you give up all hunting rights for 5 years! Do you take that shot? S Heck no!!! I ain't gonna give up my snipe hunting for 5 years!!! LoL;);) :D:D:D:D:D:D :p:p:p

hunterbobb
It would be hard to do but yes I would shoot the 200 and give up hunting for 5 years. Come on people a 200 is a once in a lifetime throphy. I would give up hunting and sex for 5 years. Just don't make me give up shooting. I would do almost anything for a 200. :gun2:
NY_Bowhunter14
I would shoot... Being only 21 i have the luxury of having the rest of my life to hunt, so 5 years, although very long, would be well worth it...
joeaveragehunter
I couldnt afford to. I would busy myself turning all tillable land into food plots and my relatives would bury me.
