Swamphunter
Things are going good, you have all the projects out of the way and kept up with the lawn twice a week. You plan for a weekend getaway trip on the motorcycle with your wife and you, and another couple and WHAMMO... you hurt your back. I was putting the tables from my sons birthday party in my truck to return them yesterday, and felt all the muscles in my back strain. They started spasming, and I could not get them to loosen no matter how much heat I put on them or slow easy stretching. A trip to my local doctor and he prescribed me some low dose muscle relaxants which definitely helped a bit, but man, I am still tender and tight in a baseball sized area right along my mid spine area. I consider myself to be in good physical shape and this is not an injury I really expected to get. I'll deal with it and suffer through the week, but now my weekend trip to Lake George is in jeopardy.

Maybe I should sue someone since they have taken away my right to travel freely back and forth into Canada.
buckee
That a real shame Ken. I know what it's like to cancell things because my back is acting up. I hope you can get that spasm under control really quick. A little prayer won't hurt either
Guest TennesseeTurkey
When I hurt my back my chiropracter told me to NOT put heat on my back! Try using an ice pack, it worked better for me versus heat!
Randy
I don't know Ken, hitting the open road may be just the thing to get your mind off the pain.
Swamphunter
When I hurt my back my chiropracter told me to NOT put heat on my back! Try using an ice pack, it worked better for me versus heat! Ice for swelling immedietly, heat to increase blood supply to the damaged tissue/ strained muscle area to promote healing. It seems to be much getter this evening... will give it a couple of days

Doe-ee
A couple of good massages between the cold pack sessions wouldn't hurt. Hope you get to make that trip.
