redkneck
what are you putting in the ground John???!!!! Sweet Jesus!!! THose look like Hydromatoes...:D:D:D:D Well, Dan, I got a real tight dark clay soil at the house. Looks great when it's tilled, but after a few rains gets really hard to water, the sprinkler just runs off. SO, this year i made a raised bed, tilled peat moss into the soil, then hauled in the rest from a nursery, lots of organics, tilled in some slow release fert, then added plants, miracle grow, and calcium nitrate (be careful with the Ca Nitrate). I'll post another of the cucs on the end there growing up the 4-wheeler ramp. QUESTION: I dont know how to post full size pics from photobucket. Can someone help? redkneck
I put my 4-wheeler ramp in the end of the bed. It's six feet tall, with about a foot in the ground.

redkneck
Thanks, Randy, I thought I had tried that, but somehow missed it! And, yeah, excuse the weeds, but has been raining constantly until the last 3 days, just now getting dry enough!

redkneck
I dont know about that, Will, the squash I can compete with. The okra has a couple of weeks to go, and that I sure cant compete with mamaw on.
wtnhunt
To be honest I really don't care for tomatoes, but I love salsa. We have 18 tomato plants in. Several small tomatoes and lots of blooms. Will have to get some updated pics of our garden, but I did post some in my blog right after planting here http://www.realtree.com/forums/blog.php?b=226 back at the beginning of May. We had to replant some stuff, but our tomatoes and peppers are fine. Our tomato plants will likely outgrow the 6 ft t posts.
The_Kat
Toss me in with the salsa, stew, and chili crowd. Raw Tomatoes are gross!

redkneck
Nothing like a good ol home grown tomater & mayo sammmitch. Really Allan. This point should not even be debatable. Bread + Blue Plate + mater = :D:D This thread is starting to remind me of the one where some members were saying that ribs were best given to the dogs. Tominator
Looking good. I've got a few blossoms, but I'm not real hopeful with my new ground. Next year will be better.
