I think he acted like a spoiled brat.

Then, wasn't smart enough to apologize and his explanation saying he's a 'winner'. LMAO What a DB!!

Will never cheer for this low class moron again.

First off, could really care less about the NBA, but I will admit that I do enjoy watching "the LeBron show." The guy's got talent, but what he did after game 6 was classless and wrong. No two ways about it. His excuse of "I'm a winner, we just lost, I'm not going to shake the hands of the guys that just beat me..." doesn't hold water. You're taught from day one to shake the hand of your opponent, win or lose. Many times I've made my youngest son, usually tears in his eyes, to shake the hand of his brothers and I when we beat him at golf, baseball, football, you name it, it's just the right thing to do. Unfortunately, LeBron just taught millions of kids throughout the nation, and possibly the world, that it's OK to walk off without shaking hands. :(

I have a couple views on this.....

He obviously did not show great sportsmanship by doing what he did but...

It is not a "MUST" to go shake hands after a game in basketball, yes in hockey they do and somewhat at the end of NFL games....but not in the NBA.....I don't watch a lot of NBA anymore but I can rarely remember any team/person doing alot of this.

Did anyone go shake his hand after he won games in the first 2 series?

Now what he said about I'm and winner and we just lost......that was a DUMB statement. :(

LeBron is another waste of talent. He is a great ball player, no dispute there, but his attitude just like the rest of professional ball players is crap. This is just another reason I prefer not to watch professional sports and stick to college. College athletes play for the right reasons, pros are nothing but overpaid cry babies. I hate to see people like him banking millions and seeing people like teachers, cops, single moms working two jobs struggle to make ends meet. What a tool!

I am NOT A big LeBron fan.....Do I enjoy to watch him play...sure when nothing else is on tv.

However I am going to disagree some here ;):p

Lets not forget that college athletes get perks and money too.......maybe not all and not every but lots do. ;)

Don't lots of college athletes get scholarships to play....and if they don't play they don't get the scholarship....so it seems to me they ARE getting paid.

And most/lots of those overpaid cry babies where once college players playing for the right reasons. ;)

ALL athletes bank millions because that is the system they are in.....Hard to blame them for owners agreeing to pay them millions.

The part the bugs me is nothing is going to change from it. Kinda the same as those top level exec that get huge bonus year in and year out even though the company they work for is going down the tubes.....how is that right??:(:(

And yes teachers and cops should make more money than they do.

Hmm lets see, college degree and free food, maybe discount clothes, some backdoor illegal money now and again is a far cry shy of multi million dollar contracts. Professional players are to blame....they think they're worth more than they are. You don't see college athletes gripin cause they are getting anything. It's called the bighead and most pros have it.

Yes but if you or I go to those same colleges we come out $40,000, $50,000 or more in debt.....Yes that is a far cry from the millions they will make in one year but its still free money for them. ;)

Other than a hand full of pro players (lebron, kobe, garnet, howard, j oneal, t-mac, shawn kemp, k.brown, and a few others) all where once college athletes....so maybe those big heads started early cause they was given things then and think they deserve it now cause they are performing on a bigger stage.....

I still don't think the pro players are to blame.... but the owners.

For example you go to company A and they offer you a job to make $100,000 a year. Now you go to company B to do the exact same job but they pay you $1,000,000 a year which job you going to take??

Can we now blame you for taking the higher paying job..... That is what these pro athletes are doing.....the people to blame are the owners and sadly the fans.

"don't hate the player hate the game" :D

Ditto.... If the demand is there(which it obviously is), then they should get the money.

the money doesn't bother me like it used to. It does get to me when a guy averages 3 points/2 rebounds a game or batting .219 and he's getting 4 million a year. I think I could still do that..lol

I could never imagine Tiger Woods walking off with shaking a guys hand after a match.

Can't teach a turd to have class I guess.

Wonder what professional sports would be if ya only paid them 100 to 200k a year. Bet they'd all quit. Pros are jokes for the most part.

I dont think they would quit if they knew going in that they would only make 200K a year. Think about it, how many people do you know that make that kind of money. And they would get it just to play sports.

Lebron made a huge mistake by not showing some class. He is the biggest star in the NBA and he doesnt have a problem cashing those checks. If you can take all that money and be the face of so many products, I think you can man up and shake a few hands and answer a few questions. To me that was pretty lame to not show the respect to the other team and your teammates. It would be nice to see some endorsment deals fall through because of this but I doubt that will happen.

Jordan did the same thing about 8 times in his career- you just didn't hear about it because the media wasn't on a mission to rip the guy until he ends up on the Knicks.

LeBron has been handed everything since he was 14 and has had to deal with a classless, immature mother for ever and he's taken it all in stride. He really has been the epitome of class. He was worth 100 million by the time he was 18, he's never had any run-ins with the law (outside of a speeding ticket), and he's a grounded family man.

He's also only 24. He definitely should have shook hands and congratulated the Magic, but kid's make mistakes...
