buckmastermn
I am looking for a new scope for my shotgun for deer hunting. I think I have narrowed my search down to either a Nikon Slughunter or a Leupold UltimateSlam. I am leaning towards the Nikon because the ultimateslam seems to be created more for the muzzleloader hunters. Does anyone have any experience with either of these two scopes? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
EKYhunter
I have not used the exact scopes you mentioned. However, all of my optics are Nikon including scopes, rangefinder, and binoculars. You can not go wrong with Nikon.
Tecumseh
I have both and will give the Nikon a slight edge. But you can't go wrong with either one.
fly
I have a Nikon Buckmaster and the Ultimate Slam. I really like the long eye relief and reticle on the Ultimate Slam.
stcif
I do not have those two exact scopes but I do own a Leupold 2 - 7 x 33 shotgun scope with a heavy duplex reticle and I also own a Nikon scope which I put on my muzzleloader. The only reason I put a Nikon on my muzzleloader was it was cheaper than the Leupold and is very clear and bright. I do not know which are better quality but I really like both brands and think they are of comparible quality. If money wasn't an issue I would go Leupold as it is American made.
