Re: trigger pull

Its not adjustable like a Remington trigger, but it can be reduced significantly. I did mine about 6 years ago and it is a very crisp and safe 1.5 pounds. I love it!

Mike Bellm has info on his site about trigger jobs. He will do a trigger job on your frame.

A good pull weight that is safe for most shooters is 3 pounds. If it is a crisp and clean break and has minimal overtravel, it will feel like it is even less but it will he heavier than it feels.

Re: trigger pull

I like 3 pounds, it seems to be a good "happy medium" to me. It doesn't take much effort to fire, but it's not so soft that you could easily make a mistake.

I could see how shooting when your not ready would ba a lot worse thatn haveing to put a little squeeze on the trigger to take the shot.

I have 2 Tikka-T3's and they are both set at 3 pounds from the factory.

If you look in the manual that comes with the rifle, it will tell you the adjustment is from to 2 to 4 pounds and they are set a 3. I have not changed mine at all.

Check out the group I shot with my Tikka 308 on Saturday! If I can do that all the time, I am not going to complain!!
