Adjam5
Just getting around to posting these pics. Thought I'd share them. I took my M4 up to deer camp where we spent the Memorial day weekend and I had my sons Joe and Mike have some fun. I put a new Vortex Fire Strike reflex sight on it and sighted it in for 50 yards dead on with the 62gr SS109 green tip. This AR is set up for close quarters/home defense. The gun shot flawlessly and I had to end the fun early because we ran out of ammo... 250 rds:eek:. 2" groups rapid fire... I love seeing my boys shoot my guns:). Especially those evil black guns. Joe has the foam ear protection on(before anyone says it:D) Mike I just got finished cleaning that gun and giving it a good light coat of Break free CLP. Will you have to wear pink when you shoot it? Or is the rule creator exempt:p. That is a Stag arms lower on a Rock River M4 upper with a Yankee Hill quad rail picatinny forend. I like how it handled. The balance did change as the mag got empty. So the wrapping of the elbow in the sling while gripping the vertical forend is a must if you wish to aim with both eyes open, which is what this sight was designed for. Strut10
I remember the pic:). These are fun little rifles to shoot. I can't wait to find out. Just gotta find the time. Will you have to wear pink when you shoot it? Or is the rule creator exempt:p. The nighthie is reserved exclusively for OTPG shoots. And, no........I'm not exempt. I just wouldn't take the 15's to an OTPG shoot. Believe it or not...I own some non-magnum calibers. That is a Stag arms lower on a Rock River M4 upper with a Yankee Hill quad rail picatinny forend. Not much place for accessories on the factory Colt forends. How does the forend feel in the front hand with the extra diameter added by all the rails? Adjam5
I like the forend. Not much place for accessories on the factory Colt forends. How does the forend feel in the front hand with the extra diameter added by all the rails? I have a vertical grip on the bottom rail which is what I use to hold while I shoot it most of the time. It does not feel any more heavier or fatter than the other factory fore ends( I also have a Colt and a Bushmaster). I kind of like the way my hand grips the rails when I do hold it without the vertical grip for longer range shooting. The multi ridged surface really locks into the hand well when you grip it. Lots of room for goodies too;). Yankee Hill makes some dandy stuff for the AR. http://yankeehillmachine.com/store/forearms.html
