Dakota
...was today and I stunk! It was a 30 target course and I shot a 172. Of course, it was windy, I had no range finder and as a result I whiffed on four targets! If I had just hit those four I would have at least had a 192. Had fun though, and even outshot my two companions on the 28th target; they both got 10s and I got an X. Aaannd then I shot a five and they both got 10s! :D:D I really need to get a range finder before this fall though... Glad ya had fun, but if your gonna talk smack about spanking my hoyt in wyoming you better pick it up This wasn't really a tournament, Kyle, just a shoot that they do for two weekends each summer. Range finders are allowed here...or my two companions weren't in on the loop! Yeah...well...in my defense...I haven't really shot since Spring Break! :D:D I did look at an Alphamax on the rack while I was there this morning...oh wait...but you're not supposed to know about that! Dakota
The_Kat
I'm just giving ya a hard time. My first scores were similar to yours. In fact I just shot my first even score ever last weekend. a 300 out of 300. Practice up.
Dakota
Thanks, Kyle! I'm thinking about buying a membership to Archery Outfitters and joining their Thursday evening outdoor summer league. My pins are set differently than what I thought they were; I completely whiffed on four targets including a huge black bear that was later ranged at 37 yards by my companions. I had my bottom pin holding high on his back and my arrow slipped under his belly! I think I'm going to just go out at one point and make sure my pins are set at 10, 20, 30 and 40 yards. I'm starting to get good at guessing ranges though. I'm looking forward to getting as much shooting in as I can. Hey...not to hijack though it is my thread to hijack ...what happened to your HCO Pro Staff sig? Dakota
Tink
Try 15, 25 35 & 45 yards pins You can use the 15 yard pin for 10 yards but I have never seen a 10 yards shot on a 3 D range I once saw a 4 yard javalina every one missed.
