Get ready to drool Hoyt Lovers!

Well, here's the back story to my friend's pic she posted on MySpace. I wanted to see if I was right about her shooting form in this pic not to mention I wanted to let ya'll know that her husband designs Hoyt Bows. He's an engineer and I think they live in Utah. I don't really keep up on that brand. She and I used to work at the same hospital together and he wanted me to join the local chapter of Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation. I still talk to her on MySpace but last I heard, they were on shakey ground. I told her I would be willing to do field testing for them but I might be a little bias just because I love Matthew's. Anyway, I think her form is a little off. What's ya'lls opinion?

I'm no expert, but the draw length is about 2" too long. That makes her lock her right arm. Looks like she's leaning her head into it a little too.

Like I said, no expert, that's just what I can see.

Yep...def. overdrawn!

Shorten it up a good 1 1/2 to 2 inches.

As for her arm....have her hold her arm to her side (elbow pointing outward)...then lift her arm straight up with her elbow still pointing out.

She's wearing an arm guard because she's hitting her arm...2 reasons why...she's overdrawing the bow and her elbow is rotated down instead of out, causing her forearm to stick out further than it should.

Her form needs quite a bit of improvement. I'm surprised she has not had enough direction to correct it. However, her form shouldn't be on trial so much as to not realize that she's still shooting a bow. The more people that aren't the typical redneck dude that can gain an interest in archery the better.
