fly
Well I hope it works out for ya. I look back on my days serving in the Army National Guard and there were a lot of good times and rough times. There were days I remember waking up soaking wet, muddy, and having over a hundred (literally) insect bites on my arms and face in the Honduras rainforest. I often wondered what type of drug I must have been on when I decided to join. However, those experiences helped shaped me into the well rounded, easy going, slow to anger man I am today! Just don't ask my wife to verify that last statement. Good luck and thanks for deciding to serve the good old USA!

OJR
Wishing You The Best I wish you nothing but the best when you are serving this great country. I have to agree with a lot of people here and from experience, I wouldn't have ever gone into the Marine recruiter's office! LOL!! I had some great schooling in the Air Force and don't regret it one bit. When I was in England, the Marines, Navy and Army all had a curfew and had to be in the barracks at 10PM! The Air Force, no curfew. We stayed around and let all the other branches pay for drinks for the women and then those little boys had to go home! We moved in and had a blast! See it pays to be in the Air Force! LOL!!:D:D

buckee
OK, I think it's time to change your name to "Big" hunter Tim. You certainly have grown up to be a fine young man. My hat is off to you Tim. The only thing I don't like about your decision is that you will be missed by so many people, including me, but sometimes a man, just has to do what a man has to do. . Go, with God Tim
JimT
Man where has the time gone, seems like yesterday you were the kid who had hunted so hard and finally got that first deer down. All the best to you Tim. Hope everything goes well for you. Ditto Tim... How long have I been on this forum anyways? Congrats on enlisting. Thanks for serving!! flyrod64
WTG LIL. I spent a little over 4 years as a jarhead and loved it. I also made some of the best friends I ever had and still talk with alot of them still and its been 22 years since I got out. Don't give up on your school either, the military is a good starting step for that too. Best of luck.................SEMPER FI
