jesse8953
My buddy is logging his woods out.Is there anything we can plant in the logging trails. It is a 40 archer woods with bean on 3 sides and a road on the other side.It has a pond in the middle of the woods. We never planted anything before and it will be by hand {aint got no tractor or equipment} or should we just forget about it? dogdoc
sure--logging roads make good plots as long as the canopy is open enough to get some sunlight. There are several no-till products available on the market. I planted throw and grow last year with good success. If you'll broadast your seed right after a rain when the soil is muddy the seeds will stick to the mud or just prior to a rain and the rain will press the seed into the soil. I planted through and grow on 2 moist logging trails and then that night it rained realy hard.We had sunny, hot, humid weather since then and here is what I found 2 weeks later. Not bad for never planting anything before and had very little work involed doing it.
