.....be a shooter buck for me in the backyard. Kind of looks like his belly has just a little sag. If I am figuring right there should still be at least 6 weeks left of growing.

Looks like he's a regular visitor too William. You should have a lot of fun keeping tabs on him.

He is coming around about once a week Al. Maybe just maybe he will start coming around a little more regular.

If it is the same buck my daughter mentioned that I was hunting last fall, it is likely he will never do the same thing twice. That deer was all over our place, never at the same place at the same time. He had no pattern whatsoever. I kind of have some doubts it is the same deer now though, because this buck has 8 points already. The buck I was after last fall was weak on his left side(missing a G3)had 7 points and was a 3.5 year old deer. I think we do have another buck around that is just about as wide. Not getting as many pics of him though.

What kinda mineral site do ya got put down there... They seem to like it...

Right now there is a red trace mineral block and some deer cain. The block is almost completely gone, still plenty of minerals in the ground, but think we may pick up a trophy rock to put out soon.

Yea I can't wait to see you or one of the family placing a tag on that shooter William!

Only way it could get any better than a pic of this deer on the ground would be if I can get it on tape.;) Will be taking the camera with me more this season.

Need pull cards on a couple cams today.

Have you been getting lots of rain?

Rain is supposed to be good for antler growth. We are seeing tremendous growth on our bucks up her William.

That velvet sure is amazing:).

I am just waiting for the pic and the big smile on one of your daughters standing over that buck:)

We did have a lot of rain back in the spring Anthony, had a good deal of flooding, May alone we had nearly 3 inches above average rainfall. Have had very little rain this month, over an inch and a half behind average. Sure hope we don't see another summer time drought.

No doubt in my mind that my oldest will have an opportunity on a deer, possibly this one, will see what happens.;)
